Tap Start, then play a note.
Play one note at a time, close to the microphone. The pointer shows how far you are from the nearest note, in cents (a hundredth of a semitone); green means in tune.
Pick an instrument and the tuner finds the string you are playing. Tap a string to tune to that one only and hear its note; tap it again to go back to finding it by itself.
Strobe is for fine tuning: the stripes drift right when you are sharp, left when you are flat, and stand still when you are in tune. The trace under the dial shows the last few seconds, which is how a singer or a wind player sees whether a long note holds steady.
Tone plays a reference note or a drone to practise against. The microphone is only listened to here, never recorded or sent.

Shows the note as written for your instrument.
Raise it in a noisy room so background sound does not move the pointer; lower it for a quiet instrument far from the microphone.
